Exhortation

Beloved, emotions are a powerful force in our lives, and while they are a natural part of being human, they are not meant to control us. God desires that we experience peace, joy, and stability through Him. In times of instability or emotional upheaval, remember that your emotional state is not your identity; your identity is found in Christ.

When emotions feel overwhelming, turn to the Lord, for He is the one who can calm the storm within. The Bible tells us in   Philippians 4:6-7 (NIV)  :

_”Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”_

This verse reminds us that God’s peace is available to guard our hearts and minds, especially when emotions seem to be out of control. Trust in His promises, and make your requests known to Him, knowing that His peace will guard you in the storm.

    Confession

Heavenly Father, I come before You today, acknowledging that my emotions often overwhelm me. I confess that I have allowed my feelings to dictate my thoughts and actions, leading me into instability and distress. But today, I choose to trust in Your Word, knowing that You are my stability and my peace.

I declare that I am not a slave to my emotions. I choose to walk in the power of Your peace. I take authority over every unstable emotion and command them to align with the truth of Your Word. I reject anxiety, fear, depression, confusion, and every form of emotional unrest. I embrace the peace of God that surpasses all understanding, and I declare that my heart and mind are guarded in Christ Jesus.
